From the center of Bovec, the "ON THE FOOTSTEPS OF THE ISONZO FRONT" trail will head towards Čezsoča, where we will have our first stop at the "Kilc" distillery with a tasting of žganjica and homemade apple juice. We will continue our journey to the hamlet of Jablanca, where we will cross the emerald Soča River over a suspension bridge at Breka. We will head to the village of Kal-Koritnica, from where we will climb to Čelo - an open-air museum with perfectly preserved remains of the First World War and a wonderful view of the Bovec Basin. Via "Kulerat" we will continue our journey to the Kluže Fortress - a mighty fortress above the gorge of the Koritnica River, which served as a defense against Turkish invasions, Napoleon's army and attacks in World War I. There, the "soldiers" of the 1313 Society will welcome us with goulash and polenta.
From the Kluža fortress, the circular route turns back towards Bovec, we stop at the Gothic church of St. Leonard - built in the 15th century, ring the wishing bell and continue our journey to the eco-farm, where we will have a tasting of Bovec sheep's cottage and Bovec cheese.
